A little bit about Cosmair
Our work is done in the beautiful piedmont of North Carolina with our ever-growing family of insightful and intuitive code writers. Our journey into tech started with our backgrounds in journalism, healthcare, ecommerce, writing, and publishing. Sharing these stories online brought fascination with how easily we could get our voices heard. That experience drove us to create websites for our own specific needs. Once that curiosity was transformed into functional format a door was opened that could never be shut.
With the publication of our first website in the 1990’s, we realized that we had found an incredible level of freedom & versatility for our work. Our full switch to front-end development allows us to use our organizational skills and eye for detail to write clean, elegant code for everyone. On the next page, you’ll see a short list of ever-changing Inspirations and Collaborations that might give you a reason to partner with us - to enhance your current site, or create a new site from the ground up that speaks with your voice to your own set of shoppers, customers, and readers.
Cosmair designs sites from a blank page with hand-written notes or a colorful PSD file, or uses fully customized templates from some of the best website platforms like WordPress, Wix, SquareSpace, and Shopify. We offer services that include, but are not limited to new designs and launches, current website overhauls, SEO updates, email marketing campaigns, advertising advice and services, simple to complex tweaks, server hosting advice and connections, and feedback-sharing based upon the absolute trends of newest technologies.
The cost of a new website or a site redesign will vary. We've designed brochure websites from as little as one page to large e-commerce sites containing over 100,000 pages. There are many different website types that include: Brochure, Ecommerce, Entertainment, Shopping Directory, News, Travel, Blogs, and Sports. Although Ecommerce seems to be the largest segment of all websites, Brochure websites account for nearly 72% of the world wide web.
Any professional of any sector must have a website to survive and grow in today’s marketplace. Doctors, Auto Mechanics, Electricians, Lawyers, Plumbers, Dentists, Landscapers, and even Candlestick makers need a website.
Cosmair creates websites by listening to you and having you tell us exactly what you want your customer to know about you.
From a cost perspective, often times it is far more effective to have a platform-based web builder house your site. Cosmair creates the content by using the web builder templates and will complete an entire website design in less than 60 days. In other cases, an ecommerce site featuring hundreds or thousands of products might require a ground-up approach and Cosmair will build that site using industry best-practices and a wholly-owned, designed, and proprietary system just for you.
You may already have a site on a common platform like Wix, Word Press, Square Space, or Shopify and you need updating, tweaks, adjustments or modern flat-page enhancements. We do that as well.
SEO or Search Engine Optimization is a term thrown about as if were a magic wand. SEO is actually a simple and concise way of expressing the exact purposes of your site and identifying the precise customer for that site. There’s nothing magical or expensive about SEO. The same SEO for an ecommerce site featuring five million products features the same SEO as a brochure website offering insights to your company or services to your customer. The more exact the description of your services and the more simplicity that surrounds the words used in the SEO, the higher the relevant ranking results appear on all search engines. Simplicity gets results.
The ultimate advantages of Flat Page Designs.
Flat design is a minimalist design language or design style commonly used in graphical user interfaces (GUI) (such as web applications and mobile apps), and also in graphical materials such as posters, arts, guide documents and publishing products.
In 2002, Microsoft released Windows Media Center, and in 2006, the Zune MP3 player, both of which contained elements of flat design. The design of the Zune was clean and simple, with a focus on large lower case typography, silhouette-style logos, and monochromatic font colors.
Flat Pages allow the user to identify the what's and where's in shorter viewing time. In visual arts, music, and other media, minimalism is an art movement that began in post–World War II Western art, most strongly with American visual arts in the 1960s and early 1970s.
The movement is often interpreted as a reaction against abstract expressionism and modernism; it anticipated contemporary postminimal art practices, which extend or reflect on minimalism's original objectives.
Flat design allows UI designers to think of their designs more as a functional tool rather than aesthetic. Since the success of their work is based on the value that the design brings to the user more than aesthetic appeal, many UI designers love flat design.
A website’s SEO can improve with flat design, too. With less complex images and a simplified design, most flat websites hold the fastest loading times. Plus, with better navigation users often stick around longer. Easy to read native fonts help web crawlers easily index a flat website as well.
